Nail Reconstruction

Nail reconstruction is a specialist cosmetic and clinical procedure that restores the appearance and structure of damaged, missing, or deformed nails. At Skin World Clinic, our trained nail specialists use medical-grade resin and prosthetic techniques to rebuild nails that have been lost or damaged due to injury, surgery, fungal infection, or chronic nail disease.

Nail Reconstruction

Treatment Overview

Our specialists assess the underlying nail condition and your desired outcome before selecting the most appropriate reconstruction technique. Using lightweight, flexible, medical-grade materials, we rebuild the nail to a natural shape and finish that blends seamlessly with your surrounding nails, providing both cosmetic improvement and functional protection.

  • Medical-Grade Resin Build-Up: Layered application to restore nail shape, thickness, and coverage.
  • Prosthetic Nail Application: Full or partial nail prosthetics for missing or severely damaged nails.
  • Protective Overlay: Shields the nail bed while the natural nail regrows underneath.
  • Cosmetic Finishing: Natural-looking results that can be polished and maintained like a natural nail.

Benefits of Nail Reconstruction

Nail reconstruction provides an immediate improvement in nail appearance and protects vulnerable nail beds. It is a non-invasive, pain-free procedure that restores confidence and helps patients feel comfortable with their hands and feet again.

  • Natural Appearance

Reconstructed nails are shaped and finished to look indistinguishable from natural nails.

  • Protective Coverage

Shields exposed or sensitive nail beds from further trauma and infection.

  • Restored Confidence

Immediate cosmetic improvement so patients feel comfortable and confident right away.

Nail reconstruction is ideal for anyone with a damaged, partially missing, or unsightly nail resulting from trauma, surgery, fungal infection, nail psoriasis, or other nail disorders. It is also an excellent option for patients who have undergone nail avulsion and wish to restore appearance while the natural nail regrows.

The nail bed is gently cleansed and prepared before the medical-grade resin or prosthetic material is applied in carefully controlled layers. Each layer is set under UV light and shaped to match the natural nail contour. The finished reconstruction is buffed and sealed for durability. The procedure is completely pain-free and takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes depending on the number of nails treated.

Results are immediate — patients leave the clinic with a reconstructed nail that looks and functions like a natural one. Maintenance appointments are recommended every 4 to 6 weeks as the natural nail grows, at which point the reconstruction can be adjusted or refreshed as needed.
